Norwell Location

The  Sparrell Funeral Home, located in scenic and historic Norwell Center, has existed to serve the families of the South Shore, since prior to 1820, when the Sparrell and Torrey families made coffins, caskets, and nameplates for the area families on the grounds, where the funeral home still operates. With its first town-recorded sale in November of 1820, it began operation as Sparrell Funeral Home.  The Sparrell’s were instrumental in the town, working in the town and for whom the Sparrell School is named after.

Operated by the McNamara’s, a small town family, since1983,  the Norwell location has undergone extensive renovation in order for it to meet the needs of its growing community. New restrooms and interior renovations have made the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home a comforting, accessible, and spacious area to meet the needs of the communities it so diligently and respectfully serves, while maintaining the historic façade and charm of the building.

With easy access from major highways and routes, the historic Norwell location has a large off street parking lot.
