B. Jean (Carson) Snow

B. Jean (Carson) Snow, age 88, a long-time resident of Norwell, passed away on January 21, 2018 at home. Beloved wife of the late C. Philip Snow and loving mother of Robert W. Snow and wife Martha of Marshfield, Deborah S. Vargus and husband Frank of Quincy, Barbara Snow and fiancé John Barger of California, Charles P. Snow and wife Deborah of Centerville, Andrew C. Snow of Norwell, and John P. Snow and wife Jessica of Halifax. Adoring Nana of Bonney, Michael, CJ, Derek, Matthew, Caroline, Christopher, Daniel, Nolan and Caitlin and Great-Nana of Bailey, Dylan and Collin. Sister of the late Elizabeth A. Farnsworth and James A. Carson. Also survived by her sister in law Arlene Carson of Norwood and many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Brookline High School, B. Jean worked as an upholsterer, made dolls and drapes. She was active with Norwell VNA, volunteering and serving as treasurer. Jean was a founding member of the UCC Norwell, where she was a longtime deacon and bookkeeper. In 2005, Jean was made a Norwell Citizen of the Year.

Friends and family are invited to visiting hours on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11 am in the United Church of Christ, 460 Main St., Norwell, MA. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Jean may be made to the Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA. 02061.
