Beulah E. (Greene) Bradeen

September 5, 1922 ~ December 4, 2017 (age 95) 95 Years Old


 

Beulah E. Bradeen, aged 95, died peacefully with her family by her side at Rose Court, Hingham, MA. She was the daughter of James and Jennipher (Prime) Greene.

 

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Kenneth J. Bradeen, of Hingham, MA; her sister, Ruby Davies & husband Arthur of Braintree, MA; her son, John K Bradeen & his wife Lyn Bradeen of Hingham, MA; her daughter, Judith E. Rosensteel & her husband John Rosensteel of Greensboro, GA; her daughter, Janet B. Moe & her husband Douglas Moe of Moultonborough, NH.

 

She was a devoted Grandmother and GreatGrandmother to Julie Horte & husband Bill Horte and their children, Olivia, Max & Andrew of Norwell, MA; Jennifer Lambiase & husband Al Lambiase and their children, John and Anna of Canton, MA; Jessica Stevens & husband Paul Stevens, and their children, Nathan, Ella and Molly of Norwell, MA; Ellen Calves & husband Herbie Calves and their children, Emma, Evan & Nina of Katonah, NY; Amy Hannula & husband Chad Hannula and their children Charlie and Lucy of Atlanta, GA; Lisa Zahren and husband Homer Robinson and their children Theo & Felix of Philadelphia, PA.

                   

A special place in her heart for Cousin Debbie Jackson, Scituate, MA; devoted family friend, Sue Jevne, Norwell, MA; and spiritual advisor The Rev. Stephanie Shute Kelsch, Second Parish of Hingham, MA.

 

She was pre-deceased by her two brothers: Herman Greene and Kenneth Greene (died in WWII).

 

Beulah was born in Boston, living most of her adult life in Norwell, MA. After retirement, she and Ken lived in Florida for many years before returning to Massachusetts to be closer to family. A gentle and supportive Mother, Grandmother and GreatGrandmother, she was known as Grandma Boo. She was proud of her loving family. Although her most important role in life was being a Mother, she held various jobs including in the Norwell School System and in the South Scituate Savings Bank.

 

She and her husband, Ken, enjoyed boating, cruising from Scituate Harbor to Maine, NH, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Upon retirement, they cruised the Intracoastal waterway from Scituate Harbor to Florida and over to the Bahamas. They traveled throughout the U.S. including Alaska & Hawaii, as well as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, & Canada.

 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Beulah’s name may be sent to The Second Parish Building Fund, 685 Main Street, Hingham, MA 02043. Services are private.
