Clifton B. Jones

Clifton B. Jones, age 81, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 23, 2017. Cliff was the husband of the late Barbara Jean (Morse) Jones and the dear friend of Suzanne Beale of Plymouth. He was the devoted father of Deborah Kurtz and husband Peter of Cohasset, Robert A. Jones of Cohasset, Donna Chappell and husband Charles of Naples, FL, Michael S. Jones of Cohasset, and Richard B. Jones and wife Alysa of Weymouth. Cliff was the loving grandfather of Jamie, Jennifer, Robert, Madison, Maiah, Jonah, Morgan, and Cobas and great-grandfather of Indigo, Lily, Kai, and Solomon.

Mr. Jones was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving in Korea. He returned home and served the Town of Cohasset as a Police Officer until his retirement. He was a life time member of the VFW and American Legion, George H. Mealy Post #118.

Family and Friends will gather to celebrate Cliff on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Cliff may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA. 02472.
