Ebba H. (Hellman) Damon

Ebba Hellman Damon, beloved wife of the late Richard Damon, of Scituate, died peacefully on October 2, 2016 at the age of 92.  She was the daughter of Eric and Mathilda Grims Hellman and also predeceased by her brothers, Eric and Ernest Hellman and her infant son, Erick Hellman Damon.  Mother of Jennifer Damon Badger and her husband, Francis Bates Jennings Badger of Scituate, Jonathan Walker Damon and his wife, Georgene Elizabeth Damon of Rye, NH.  Grandmother of Sarah Badger True of Darien, CT and Jessica Badger Severance of Bedford, NH.  Great grandmother of Phoebe Mae and Parker Francis True and Elizabeth Walker and James Briggs Severance.

She graduated from South Portland High School and was then employed by Union Mutual Ins. Co., in Portland, ME and New York City and American Mutual Liability Ins. Co., in Portland before moving to Scituate.  She and her husband, Richard, later founded Damon Insurance Agency, Ebba Damon Real Estate and Prim-a-tiques Antique Shop.

Services and burial will be private at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.  Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the New England Chapter of The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley, MA 02481 or the charity of your choice.
