Welcome to the memorial page for

Elizabeth L. (Lee) Bahros

May 17, 1930 ~ June 19, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Elizabeth Lee Bahros (Liz) passed away peacefully at home on June 19 with her family at age 87 after a long illness.   She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Anthony N. Bahros (Tony).  She will be missed dearly by her daughter, Jessica Bahros, son-in-law, Robert Blake, grandson, Dagim Bahros of Norwell, MA and her granddaughter, Anya Bahros of Arlington, VA.  She was born in Reading, MA to Colonel William Lee and his wife Mildred.

She was a graduate of Mount Auburn Nursing Hospital school and went on to become the head operating room nurse at Frisbee Hospital in Rochester, NH.  Liz put aside her nursing career to raise her family.  She and Tony shared a passion for gardening tending to large vegetable, herb, and dried flower gardens.  Liz was a member and past president of the Norwell Garden Club.  She was a true animal lover and raised a number of black standard poodles.  She returned to nursing when her daughter was older.  She worked in primary care medicine and also at Queen Annes Nursing Home.  She loved her patients and colleagues dearly. Liz enjoyed golf and reading, remaining a voracious reader until her final days reading on average a book a day.  Liz will be missed most for her love of life, bright smile, and infectious laugh.

Feel no guilt in laughter, she’d know how much you care.

Feel no sorrow in a smile that she is not here to share.

You cannot grieve forever; she would not want you to.

She’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.

So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,

The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.

Let memories surround you, a word someone may say

Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,

That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,

And fills you with the feeling that she is always near.

For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart

And she will live forever locked safely within your heart.

A Private graveside service will be held.

Donations to honor Liz may be made to the Scituate Etrusco, 1 Common Ave., Scituate, MA. 02066.
