I met Ernie when I was 18 or 19 years old at Itek. His guidance and insight was well received but his friendship was special, Our 1st son, now 46, was born during a layoff and as we were a bit nervous on many fronts a warm gift was received from the Wessmans. I've never forgotten this AND the daily cribbage games with Ernie that we treasured. Bless you Ernie who as we Jews would say was a true mensch...Ron

I met Ernie at Itek when I was 18 or 19 years old. Ernie provided guidance and insight allowing me to succeed as well as gaining a special friend during my 18 years at Itek. Two things remain in my memory......As I was laid off when our 1st son was born we were touched when a gift arrived from the Wessmans. However, lunchtime cribbage was the highlight of our day. Bless you Ernie as you were a special man.

My heart goes out to you all. Ernest's obituary was quite the snap shot of a life well lived. Wish I had met him sooner, but I am thankful that we got to meet him at Kim & Sophie's birthday gathering. Keeping you all in my thoughts....

So sorry for your loss. Uncle Ernie will always be remembered for his famous card game and gifts at the annual Wessman Christmas Party. He truly was our special Santa.
