Grace S. (Spuria) LaFauci

Grace (Spuria) LaFauci, 90, of Cohasset, and formerly of Belmont, Mass., and Bradenton, Fla., passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, surrounded by her family.

Born in Pezzolo, Italy, in 1926, to Lillian and Giovanni Spuria, Grace came to the United States in 1955, later rising to director level at New England Life Insurance. But her greatest achievement was her boundless love and devotion to generations of family and friends.

Grace is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Pietro “Peter” LaFauci of Cohasset, Mass.; brother Joseph Spuria and his wife, Angela Spuria, of Kensington, Md., and brother-in-law Joseph Carbone of Cohasset, Mass., together with dear brothers- and sisters-in-law and their families in Italy. She is preceded in death by a sister, Paolina Spuria Carbone.

In addition, she leaves behind nieces and nephews including: Tony and Lisa Carbone of Cohasset; Josie and Mike Connors of Hanson; John and Kim Carbone of Hanover; Lillian and Joseph Sestito of Cohasset; John and Lori Spuria of Charles Town, W.V.; Lillian Spuria of Washington, D.C.; and Joe and Julie Spuria of Auburn, NH.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Grace during visiting hours on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset.
