John P. Patrolia

John P. “Jack” Patrolia passed away peacefully at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham surrounded by his loving family. Jack was 89. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Loretta (Abbott) Patrolia and his six sons, Thomas and wife Sue, Richard and Linda, David and wife Betty, John P. Jr and wife Jean, Kenneth and Maura and youngest son, Brian. He leaves 8 grandchildren, Lee, Jessica, Meghan, Emily, Elizabeth, Marshall, Jonas, and Aveline and one great-grandchild, Sophie. Son of the late Clarence Patrolia and Anna (Steele). One of 7 children, he is also survived by a brother, Michael Patrolia of Cohasset and sister Anne Harris of Minnesota. Brother of the late Nelson and Ted Patrolia and the late Mary Greenhaugh and Helen Madge.

Born in Cohasset in 1927, where he grew up and lived until 1970 when the family moved to Marshfield. As a master builder, he built over a hundred homes in Scituate and Marshfield.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jack during visiting hours on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 from 10-11:30 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church at 11:30 am. Interment will be held on Monday, August 7, at 12:45 p.m. at VA Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Family and friends are welcomed to attend. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent in John’s name to the Pat Roche Hospice Home, Hingham, MA.
