Jovita (Correia) Bandarra

Jovita grew up on Walnut Street, Dartmouth, MA and Sharp Street in New Bedford, MA. Her siblings are the late, Mary Gomes of New Bedford, Alice DePaco of New Bedford, Elvira Bourque of Largo FL, Antone (Tony) Correia of New Bedford, Louis (Louie) Correia of Loudonville, NY...they're all resting together now.

Jovita was courted by Gilbert Bandarra of New Bedford for several years before they were married on October 30, 1948, which continued their almost 75 year love story of devotion to each other, family and friends.  They moved a few times around the New Bedford area where they started their family.  In June of 1964, they moved to Norwell, MA, where they continued to live and raise their children and grandchildren.

Grandmother of Jennifer and her husband, Kevin Walsh of Marshfield, MA, Kathryn Aberle of Chelsea, MA, Eric Aberle of Virginia, the late Meghan Aberle of Washington, DC, Heather Sheehan of Colorado Springs, CO, Allison Hatch and her fiancé, Jacob McGrew, of Fort Collins, CO, and Corey Hatch of Fort Collins, CO.

Great Grandmother of Kevin and Liam Walsh of Marshfield, MA, and Sammy, Carson and Raegan Aberle of Virginia.

By request of the family, Jovita's memorial service was private for immediate family members only.
