Joyce F. (Fellows) Anthony

Joyce Charlton (Fellows) Anthony passed away on November 12, 2017 at the age of 83. She was a loving, talented, and amazing woman.  She was a beloved daughter of Ona Charlton Fellows and Donald Morse Fellows.  Joyce grew up in Sudbury, MA where she graduated from Sudbury High School in 1952.  She then attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in 1953.  In 1955, she enrolled in the Academia Modern Modeling School in Boston, which launched her very successful modeling career in Chicago. She traveled the world and could be seen in many magazines and TV commercials.

Joyce married David Winters Anthony in 1962 and had two children, Erik F. Anthony and Elizabeth C. (Anthony) Chouinard. Joyce attended Quincy Nursing School in 1978 and had a twenty-year career at Cohasset Knoll Nursing Home.

Her beloved partner of 23 years, Richard Trudeau, was someone she adored and spent many nights out to dinner with singing and dancing. Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who always spent quality time with her family and friends. Joyce’s endless talents included making handmade teddy bears out of recycled fur coats, other craft projects including sewing and felting, cooking delicious family meals, and writing poems and singing songs for family members. She put all of her love and time into everything she did, and lit up every room with her presence.

Joyce was predeceased by ­­her son Erik F. Anthony, partner Richard Trudeau, mother Ona Charlton Fellows, father Donald Morse Fellows, and former husband David Winters Anthony. She will be deeply missed by her family, and is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Chouinard and husband Dennis; daughter-in-law Jodie Anthony; grandchildren Joshua Chouinard, and his wife Christine; Jacob Chouinard, and his wife Christine; Daniel Chouinard; Angela Grant and husband Aaron; and Nicole Harman; and her sisters and their husbands, Priscilla and Roy Januskiewcz from Nashua, NH; Mary and Robert Cosgrove from Dallas, OR; and Donna and Christopher Estep of Chicago, IL, along with several nephews and a niece.

Visiting hours will be held at McNamara Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central Street, Norwell, MA on Friday, November 17 from 4-7 PM, and the funeral will be held at United Church of Christ (UCC), 460 Main Street, Norwell, MA on Saturday at 11 AM.
