Elaine (Paradise) Shea, 52 years of age, of Scituate, formerly of Shrewsbury, MA, died February 26, 2010 in her home surrounded by loving family members.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Robert Shea. She was the devoted loving mother of Jessica Shea of Scituate.
One of six children of the late Robert and Anne (Mauro) Paradise, she is also survived by Robert Paradise, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Princeton, MA; John Paradise and his wife, Susan, of San Clemente, CA; Denyse Lyden and her husband, Thomas, of Bellingham, MA; Charlene Paradise and her husband, Joseph Urella, of Shrewsbury, MA; Darlene Paradise-Gordon and her husband, Russell Gordon, of Shrewsbury, MA. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and close family friends.
Elaine was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, Class of 1976 and Salve Regina in Newport, RI., Class of 1980. She touched the lives of many Scituate youth, as a dedicated teacher in the Scituate School System for 16 years. Elaine’s passion for teaching may be honored by donations to the “Elaine Shea Memorial” at Hatherly School, 72 Ann Vinal Rd., Scituate, MA. 02066.
Visiting hours Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 4-8 pm at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset.
