Craig L. Wells of Brookline, MA, formerly of Scituate, MA and San Francisco, CA, left us on December 14, 2018, at age 65.
Craig received his education from California College of Medical Arts. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist in San Francisco and at several hospitals in the Boston area. Craig served in the U.S. Army until the mid-1970s.
Craig was the devoted and loving father of his daughter Colby L. Wells and loving father-in-law of James Dana DeGraaf, of Breckenridge, CO. Brother to Kevin Wells of Liberty, SC; Susan Narlee of Scituate, MA; Alden Wells of Braintree, MA; Blair Wells of Canton, MA; and Hilary O’Brien of Braintree, MA. He also leaves behind several nephews, the mother of his daughter, Gert Warren, and a large extended family. He was pre-deceased by his parents Lewis Wells and Gloria (Calhoun) Wells, of Scituate, MA.
In addition to growing up in Scituate, Craig lived with his family in Saigon, Vietnam in the early 1960s while his father conducted research on malaria for the World Health Organization. After graduating high school in Scituate, MA, Craig served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in San Francisco, CA as a Respiratory Therapist, a career he was very passionate about and which he continued for his entire professional life. Craig had strong interests in Buddhism, world history, current affairs, science, and computer programming. For most of his life, he enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH with family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 21st from 4-8 PM at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 South Main Street, Cohasset, MA 02025. A private family service will be held at a later date in Moultonborough, NH.
