Daniel F. Pleines

Daniel F. Pleines, of North Marshfield, passed away on May 23, 2017 at the age of 62 after a short and unexpected illness. Dan was the beloved husband of Cathy (Russell) Pleines and devoted father of Stephen R. Pleines of Boston, Carly M. Pleines of North Marshfield and Kevin D. Pleines and his wife Kathryn of Stamford, CT. Dan is predeceased by his parents Carl and Muriel Pleines. He leaves a sister, Judi Smith, three brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Dan was a hard-working corporate real estateexecutive who spent over thirty years working in Boston, New York and internationally for Thomson Financial Services and Thomson Reuters. Dan finished his career with Fresenius Medical Care in Waltham, and was awarded the CoreNet Global Real Estate Executive of the Year award this past November for his contribution to the corporate real estate community. Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs, boating on the North River and watching the Red Sox. Visitation hours will be held from 11am-1pm on Friday, May 26th at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell with a service and burial following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Dan to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
