Cherished uncle of Michael Grip, Erika Ivanov, Kara Delaney, Chris Turner, Jeff Turner, Matt Dancewicz, Kiley Shuman, Casey Turner, and Corey Turner. Son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Grip, brother of the late Marcia Grip and of the late Donald Grip.
Jim was a life-long and proud resident of Scituate, Mass. He was a graduate of Scituate High School and Norwich University, where he was the first All-American Hockey player in the school’s history. Jim was a long-time member of Hatherly Country Club, where he was a competitive golfer and ran the Junior Golf program for many years. A trophy in his name is given each year to the most improved and dedicated junior boy golfer, who exemplifies Jim’s qualities of character and the true spirit of golf.
