My auntie Elaine was always so much fun. We would go to Hull to visit, and her & my mom would drink tea & talk for hours. She always greeted everyone so enthusiastically as she was genuinely happy to see you. When I was a kid my auntie invited me to stay at her home over the summers where I was able to walk to the beach every day and go to Paragon Park. She brought me camping a few times which was so much fun. One year it was my birthday and she came over to the picnic table carrying a tower of Ding Dongs lit up with candles. I remember one of the visits she made to our house with a giant greyhound named Kevin in tow…she was always full of surprises. My auntie worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her loss leaves so many of us with a huge void, but she will always be in our hearts and thought of often. Much love to my cousins, Jill & JT; I am deeply sorry for the loss of your amazing mom. Love, K-M

Elaine was a wonderful person. Always a pleasant person even if she carried the Southey swag. She always found a way to sneak me into a busy Schooners night and always took the time to spend a minute or 2 to catch up on my family news. I guess I was just lucky enough to be called and considered a friend. I will miss seeing her there and in town . I send out all my prayers to her family and friends which I know she had many. rest in Peace now you deserve the Glory.. JMW

Jill and John,
Your mother was such a loving person who loved to make our day every time we
arrived at Schooners. ...and keep us posted on the latest on Jill in NC over the years...and with Jill's and JT's engagements....and their beautiful weddings....and her
bragging rights as she shared a look on her phone and on facebook her pictures
of both of your weddings. We will miss her beautiful smile and greeting....
Love and special memories,
Bill and Nancy Henderson

Your mom and mine were friends, ever since I can remember. They made up the "Gunny Gals" and were always a gang to be reckoned with. May their strength show us the way to live life daily, with spirit and love. God bless, Elaine, you fought a tough battle. Alonzo, we will miss you.

Hi Marie. Thanks for the thoughtful note. I know Lainzo and Betty are together once again. She always missed Betty so much. Hope to see you this summer on one of my visits. Love, Jill
