Gloria D. (Thompson Greenstein) Wheaton, 93, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018. Born in Boston on October 14, 1925, Gloria spent her early life in Chelsea and East Boston, and most of her adult years living in Winthrop and the North Shore area. She worked in a manufacturing plant in Chelsea during WWII to help support the war effort before marrying and raising her three children. Predeceased by her former husband Charles Greenstein, her husband Charles Wheaton, her parents Mary Ellen & William Thompson and her four siblings. Survived by her children Stephen G. Greenstein and his wife, Kathleen of Winthrop, Lisa E Lewis of Scituate and Philip D. Greenstein of Marlborough. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial service 11:45 am Saturday October 27, 2018 in the chapel at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake St, Peabody, MA 01960 & Memorial Celebration/Remembrance 1pm at Four Points by Sheraton, 407 Squire Rd., Revere, MA 02151.
