Coming from Sweden as a young man and to have the opportunity to play for the Bruins was a true blessing. Through the Bruins I got introduced to Jim. Jim always helped out when I needed something and was a true friend. After I retired a called Jim on numerous occasions and asked for help with tickets to friends and business associates, he was always came through. RIP my friend!

Jimmy was one of the most genuine people I had ever encountered in my career. Always ready to offer you help with his big smile or a joke to make your day a bit brighter. You were one in a Million Foley, and you will be deeply missed.

We were so sorry to learn of Jimmy's passing. He was always such a ray of sunshine! As a Boston kid who came to be a Bruins player, I had a lot of ticket requests, especially with Diane and I both having big families. Jim always took it in stride and helped without ever making us feel like a bother. Better still, when our people came to the window, (going back to the old Garden's 150 Causeway pickup location), Jim greeted everyone like he was welcoming them to his home. Which I guess he was.

This kind of charm, good humor, kindness and grace under pressure is what made him so special to so many.

Our deepest condolences to all who loved him. Diane and Brick.

I am so sorry and shocked. Give my condolences to all the family. James was like a brother to me growing up just the same were the rest of your family to me. Time and distance doesn't diminish the connection we had growing up. He will be missed and in my prayers.

Don't have the words to express how sorry we are for your tragic loss to you and your family. I know he must have been a wonderful man to have such a loving family that will miss him so much. He was a Foley after all, and we are blessed with our own Foley in Cathy.

Hannah, Cam, Holden, and Grace,
My mind can not conceive the grief in your hearts. There are so few things that can be said at this time to make it easier. My hope is that by knowing how many people far and near are thinking of you as you walk this journey of loss. May this knowledge help hold your spirit up.
