Judith P. (Daley) Hurley, age 74, a 51 year resident of Scituate, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018. Beloved wife of Michael W. Hurley and devoted mother of Michael W. Hurley, Jr and wife Nicole of Braintree, Thomas J. Hurley and fiancé Alexis Potemkin of Norwell, Tricia Cheverie and husband John of Hanover, and Matthew C. Hurley and fiancé Jocelyn Morin of Scituate. Adoring grandmother of Kerry Hurley, Caitlin Hurley, and Jack Cheverie. Sister of Claire Daley of Weymouth, Gerard Daley of CA, Timothy Daley of Medford, Maura Tenaglia of Weymouth and the late Joseph Daley.

 

Mrs. Hurley was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High and Boston State Teacher’s College. She worked as a service rep for New England Telephone prior to marriage and then enjoyed a career as Assistant Branch Manager at Rockland Trust in Cohasset. Judy volunteered at St. Anthony Church teaching CCD and was a substitute teacher in Scituate High School.

 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy during visiting hours on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St., (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Judy may be made to the South Shore Visiting Nurses Association, c/o South Shore Hospital, 55 Fogg Road, South Weymouth, MA  02190.
