Robert J. Reeves

Robert James Reeves, 70, of Marshfield Hills, MA, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, surrounded by his loving family.

The son of the late Charles James Reeves Jr. and the late Marguerite (Fitzgerald), Bob was born May 29th, 1948, and raised in Dedham, MA.

He is a beloved husband of 41 years to Joanne (Keeshan); loving father to Kyle and his wife Sara, of Cohasset, MA, and Corie of St. John, VI; and recent grandfather to Lauren Poppy (Lola), born July 9, 2018.

Bob is survived by two brothers Charles G. of Walpole, MA, and Paul M. and his wife, Anne, of Ormond Beach, FL;  in-laws Cynthia Zafft and her husband, Wayne, of Westwood, MA, William Keeshan, Jr. and his wife, Sherry, of Poughquag, NY,  Elizabeth Birchall and her husband, Daniel, of Dedham, MA, and Hank Cuthbertson and his wife, Jane, of Stamford, CT; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his dear sister-in-law, Diana K. Cuthbertson.

He graduated from Dedham High School and Northeastern University, where he was a member of Sigma Epsilon Rho Honor Society.

Bob had a long career at Controller Service & Sales in Avon, MA, as their Branch Manager.

With a love of sports, Bob enjoyed coaching his children’s youth soccer teams, watching European soccer and this year’s World Cup, and was a life-long New England Patriots fan.

Over the last 30 years, Bob and his family treasured spending summers at Lake St. George in Liberty, ME.  In his spare time, he loved planning the family’s trips to faraway places. Some of his favorite destinations included: Caye Caulker, Belize; Sardinia, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; Australia; and frequently to St. John to visit his daughter, Corie.

Bob was an organ recipient and closely followed by the physicians and staff of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Boston, to who the family is indebted.

A private celebration of his life will be held at the family’s home at the end of summer.  Bob was an avid reader.  As such, for those who wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to the Gift Fund at the Ventress Memorial Library, 15 Library Plaza, Marshfield, MA 02050.
