Rosemary M (Fisher) Duffy

Rosemary M. (Fisher) Duffy, age 66, of Cohasset, formerly of Malden, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 11, 2017 after a courageous 15-year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Daniel F. Duffy.  Devoted mother of Brian and wife Jessica of Brentwood, NH, Commander Kevin Duffy, USCG, and wife Rocío of Miami, FL, Maura Augusten and husband Joe of Bellingham, WA, and Daniel Duffy and fiancé Molly Wiseman of Boston, MA. Adoring grandmother of Colin, Liam, and Finn. Sister of Elizabeth Mattuchio of Malden, Christine Fisher of Malden, John Fisher of Medford, and Brian Fisher of Haverhill. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Rosemary was a graduate of UMass Boston. She was a dedicated and loving mother.  She was a presence at St. Anthony Church, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, CCD teacher, and Parish Council member. She volunteered countless hours to the Cohasset schools in capacities as diverse as room mother, debate judge, and athletic booster.  She was named to the Massachusetts Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame for her tireless work supporting the Cohasset program.  Rosemary was an avid skier, swimmer, and boater, and she enjoyed spending time at the Saltwater Club in Hull.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rosemary's life during visiting hours on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4-8 PM at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 South Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Rosemary may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA, or to St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset.
