Virginia Miller, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sept. 15, 2018. Born on Sept. 25, 1939 in Martins Ferry, OH, she was the daughter of the late Geno & Mary Rose Funari of St. Clairsville, OH. Virginia graduated with a BSN from Wheeling West Virginia School of Nursing. She started her career as a pediatric nurse in Pittsburgh, PA. After moving to the Boston area in 1972, she expanded her nursing career working with seniors at Plymouth County Hospital and Queen Anne’s Nursing Home. In 1995, she earned an Associates Degree of Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College. One of Ginny’s greatest accomplishments and joys was being the Director of the Kennedy-Donovan Center, a non-profit organization that supports people with developmental delays, disabilities, or family challenges. Other activities that she enjoyed was being a Brownie Leader, a member of The Home For Little Wanderers, a Lioness, a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, as well as helping at the Norwell Council on Aging.
