William "Bill" Joseph Chisholm

William “Bill” Joseph Chisholm, 82, of Cohasset, son of the late Terence and Esther (Reardon) Chisholm, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018. He was predeceased by his son, William R. Chisholm; brother, John Chisholm; sister, Marie Hudder; and former wife, Joan Chisholm. He is survived by his wife, Gina Sardano-Chisholm and her children, Michael, Nicholas, and John Sardano; sister, Judy Chisholm; son, Robert J. Chisholm and wife Priscilla of Plymouth, MA; daughters, Carol C. Murray and husband, Carldon of Wichita Falls, TX; Donna M. Chisholm of Bend, OR, and Joanie E. Flavin of Wickford, RI. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Boston Trade School in 1953 and immediately went into the carpentry trade. He supervised the warehouse at Eaton Shoe and was responsible for their marketing and advertising. As an entrepreneur, he started the Cohasset Carpenter business and began working for the Jimmy O’Brien Roofing Co. in the 1960’s. By 1970, he started and operated his own successful company, Guaranteed Flat Roofing Services Co., which is still operated to this day by his son.

Bill was caring, helpful, and supportive to all who knew him. He was a determined, hard-working son, brother, father and husband, and always a good provider for his family.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 from 3:30-7:30 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at 10 am at St. Anthony’s Church, Cohasset. Interment Beechwood Cemetery, Cohasset.
