Adrienne M. (Barry) Thompson, age 78, of Scituate, peacefully on October 8, 2011. Beloved wife of the late John Larkin Thompson. Loving mother of John L., Jr. of New York.; Edward "Ned" of Florida; Sarah W. Cortese of Framingham. Grandmother of Teddy Thompson, Elle Thompson, and Lucy Cortese. Daughter of the late Edward F. and Catherine (Kiley) Barry. Sister of Edward Barry of Lowell.

Mrs. Thompson loved to travel the world, especially while working for Sabena Airlines. She also enjoyed skiing and golf. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station, New Jersey.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025. Visiting hours Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (Across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset. Interment Cohasset Central Cemetery.
