Alice Frances (Jarvis) Sturgis, age 94, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 14, 2013 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Cohasset. Beloved wife of the late Richard V. Sturgis and loving mother of  Richard P. Sturgis of Quincy and Beverly Lacks of Hull. Sister of Albie Jarvis and his wife, Leonora of Carlisle, MA. Grandmother of Heidi Cerullo, Lee Todd Lacks, Derek Lacks, Rachel Meissner, Jon Lacks, and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by her "Adopted daughter", Judy Moriarty.

Mrs. Sturgis was a member of the Wollaston Golf Club in Milton for over 50 years. Alice had snowbirded to Seminole, FL for six months every year for many years.

A Funeral from the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at  9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Friday, August 16, 2013 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
