Andrew P. Krueger
February 9, 1946 – January 29, 2025
78 Years Old
Andy Krueger of Cohasset passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham.
Born in Providence in 1946, Andy was the second son of Ernest A. Krueger and Dorothy Lunt Krueger. Andy grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island where he developed a love of all things outdoors. His mother passed when he was quite young, so nursery school and summer day camps began early for Andy and his older brother. Andy graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (1968). He then went to University at Albany for an MBA degree (1969) where he met his future wife, Linda, who was working on her B.S. degree. As a result of his Reserve Officer Training Corps.(ROTC) he was activated into the Army from March 1970 through May 1972. He served at Fort Monmouth where he earned the military Medal for Merit. During this service time Andy began part-time studies for a MS in Computer Science at Rutgers University (1975). Professionally, Andy was a software engineer beginning in the Army and ending as an independent consultant.
Andy leaves his wife of 53 years Linda, son David, daughter-in law Katie-Beth, and daughter Bonnie. Andy's favorite activities included the many activities of his children including little league, hockey, skiing, hiking, biking, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, beach vacations, and many extended trips in the U.S. and abroad. Andy was always involved in scout leadership in Cohasset and Norwell and has treasured the achievement of David's in becoming an Eagle Scout. He will be missed by family and friends, some of whom date back to college days.
