On November 26, 2025 Ann Shirley Moniz of E. Falmouth went peacefully to the Lord. She was 89 years young. Ann was born in New Bedford on July 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Antonio and Albertina (Motta) Cabral and resided in Falmouth for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a service manager for Stop & Shop Supermarkets.

Ann was very spiritual and always said the Lord was her "first love".  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she truly loved. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Falmouth.

Survivors include 3 sons: Herbert Moniz of Falmouth, Clifton Moniz and his wife Ramona of Bourne and Mark Moniz of Falmouth as well as 3 daughters: Lorrie Ross and her husband Gene of Falmouth, Melissa Peters and her husband Edward of Virginia Beach, VA and Lesha Manchester and her husband Douglas of New Bedford, 6 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Richard Anthony Moniz.

A Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 11AM at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, MA, followed by an Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Falmouth, MA. Family and friends are invited afterwards to the Navigator to celebrate her life.
