Ann Louise (Shawan) Ward- age 97, of Cohasset, formerly of Boston, Mansfield and Maine, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2012. Ann left to join her late husband James, her daughter Ann Marie and Norman Mahana, son in law Philip Sambol, Mother Albertina Magnusson and step father Clayton Suddard and father George Shawan.

Ann is survived by her sons, James, Edmund and wife Isabel, her daughters, Alice (Sambol) Ward, Michelle and husband Philip Sinclair. She also leaves her grandchildren, Donna and husband Ken Conway, Diane and Michael Mahana, Edmund Ward and wife Mary Elizabeth, Timothy Ward and wife Barbara, Laura and husband Michael Rennie, Jason and Jenifer Sinclair, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Born in Portland, Maine and raised in Maine and Glens Falls, NY, Ann moved to Boston where she met her husband. She worked as an usher for the Boston Opera House, Sturdy Memorial Hospital and at the Mansfield School Systems, where she was active in the Mansfield Marching Band. Ann was also active in the Girl Scouts. A life well spent- God's love be with you.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025. Visiting hour one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at 10 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (directly across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025.
