It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Anne Kent Bussiere.  She was a beloved member of our community, who left us peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2025. Anne was a vibrant soul whose passions for life illuminated the world around her.

Born on June 15,1936 with an adventurous spirit, Anne found immense joy in boating and exploring the vastness of the ocean. She spent countless hours in her boats with her children Erik and Mark. Her salty spirit and witty personality was evident to all who knew her. Her appreciation for nature extended to her adoration of birds, often delighting in their songs and graceful flights. Her love of birds was inspired by a book she received from her Mother in 1952  on her 16th birthday which she kept by her side.

Anne was also a cherished member of her church choir, where her beautiful voice resonated with harmony and warmth. She found great joy in sharing her love of music with others and often sang with a passion that uplifted those around her.

In her later years, Anne fell deeply in love with Bear and Holly, Erik's cats, embracing their playful spirits and nurturing their companionship. Their presence brought her comfort and joy, further enriching her life.

Anne will be remembered not only for her passions but for the love of her family. She was proceeded by first husband Ames Dickenson Kent (Beau) and her husband Phil Bussiere.  She leaves behind her sons: Erik and his wife Susan of Hanover and Mark and his wife Lillian of Tennessee. Her grandchildren: Ashley, Rachel, Matthew and his wife Alicia,  Louis, Derek, Andrew, Elizabeth, Thomas, Grant and 2 great grandchildren: Liam and Wyatt.  She is survived by her former daughter in law, Vickie Shilder and her husband Jerry of Weymouth who will always hold a special place in her heart.   She also, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Anne's life will be held on Sunday, January 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McNamara Sparrel Funeral Home, 30 Central Street, Norwell.   Funeral services will be held at the United Church of Christ, 460 Main Street, Norwell at 1pm on Monday, January 27.   We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring and celebrating her memory and sharing stories of the joy she brought into our lives.

Rest in peace, dear Anne. You will be missed but never forgotten.
