Anne Barry Callis, a lifelong resident of Scituate, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024, at her home surrounded by her nine children. Beloved wife of the late Samuel C. Callis, and devoted Mother of Mary Sue Callis, Las Vegas, NV and Scituate, MA, Sandra (and late Murtaugh) Hunt, Hopkinton, New Hampshire, Samuel (Rick Andrew) Callis, Miami, Florida, Joseph (Karen) Callis, Tyngsborough, Jan (Helen) Callis, South Weymouth, Mark (Pamela) Callis, Naples, Florida, Madalin Callis (Robert Ginn), Pembroke, Barry Callis, Carver, and Anne (Patrick) Killory, Plymouth.

Daughter of the late James L. and Mary E. McCarthy and sister of the late James McCarthy, Edward McCarthy, Mary J. McCarthy, Anne Fettig, Ralph McCarthy, and John Barry. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Devoted grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, between 9:00AM – 11:00AM at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA 02025. A celebration of life mass to follow at 12 noon in St. Mary of the Nativity, 1 Kent Street, Scituate Harbor, Scituate, MA 02066. Interment at New St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association (NVNA) and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
