He flew missions over Japan; he was based on the USS Lexington, Carrier Air Group 94. After his discharge from the Navy, he remained in the Navy Reserves for a number of years and continued flying out of the Weymouth Naval Base. Family members always enjoyed his war stories no matter how many times he told them. One favorite was when he flew over POW camps in Japan and dropped supplies to the soldiers below. Tony was a carpenter in the Westwood area for over 25 years, he was then self-employed and ran his own business, T/I Carpentry in the Cohasset area.
Some of the best family memories were at the summer cottage Tony built on Little Squam Lake in Ashland, NH. Tony's family remembers him as a kind, giving person and always a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
