Anthony B. Viola, age 78, of Norwell, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13 2015 after a brief illness at Southwood at Norwell. Loving husband of Marie F. (Horigan) for 55 years. Devoted father of Laura M. May and husband John of Foxborough, Joseph Anthony Viola of Scituate, John David Viola and wife Kristi of Hamilton. Brother of Marie Astle of Maine, Joanne Puopolo and Linda Viola, both of Somerville. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan May and Michaela May.

Mr. Viola worked for A.T.&T. and was a graduate of Merrimack College.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday Sept. 16, 2015 at 11 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St., (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Visiting hours Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell Center. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Mr. Viola may be made to Road To Responsibility, 1831 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA. 02050 or to the Special Olympics 512 Forest Street Marlborough, MA 01752.
