Barbara L. (Harding) Conte, age 88, passed away in her home with her family by her side on February 11, 2021. Barbara grew up in Arlington, MA and summered in Cohasset where she met her late husband, Carmelo Conte. Barbara is the beloved mother to Linda Conte Riccio and her husband Alphonse of Cohasset, John C. Conte and his wife Joan of Hull and the late Richard Conte. Grandmother of Jenna M. Conte and John C. Conte, II, as well as her step grandchildren Caitlin Kearney McCarthy, Michael Kearney, William Kearney, and Kerin Kearney. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Barbara is the daughter of the late Arthur S. Harding Jr. and Grace B. Harding. Predeceased by her siblings, Phyllis Valliere, Helen Sullivan, Arthur Harding, H. Joseph Harding, Edward Harding, and John Harding. Sister in law to Shirley Harding and Rosalie Kowalski.

Barbara's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones and doting over her grandchildren. Her love and care of her family were well known. Her tender care helped keep her son alive many years beyond doctors expectations. High on her favorites was watching her Bruins, never missing a game. Among her favorite places, Camden, Maine held a special place in Barbara's heart, as it was a place she and her family visited since the age of 6 months old.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset, followed by interment in Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset. Due to covid guidelines, capacity is restricted; please register for the Mass at https://barbaracontefuneralmass.eventbrite.com.
