It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara Ann Dwyer on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Barbara lived in Norwell, formerly of Brockton. She was born and raised in Forest Hills. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Anna Turley and dear sister of Joan Frankenberger and the late Felix "Skip" Turley. She is survived by her three children James C. Dwyer and wife Darlene of Norwell; Charles H. Dwyer, Jr. and wife Susan of Berkley; Christine DeCourcy and husband Daniel DeCourcy of Florida. She also leaves behind her nine grandchildren Charlie, Ruby, Jay, and Audrey Dwyer; Kelly and Julie Dwyer; George and Michael Brown, as well as her three great-grandchildren Ernie, Michael and Cayden. She was cherished by her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Barbara enjoyed hosting parties and spending time with friends and family, and especially her grandchildren. Barbara was always up for an adventure…. from camping in the Grand Canyon to walking 60 miles in 3 days for cancer research. Barbara enjoyed baking. Sweet treats for her grandchildren was her specialty. Barbara loved to go on vacations to Disney and Key West. Barbara enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, but she much preferred teaching the grand kids how to gamble playing wild games of Left,Right,Center. Later in life Barbara enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Norwell Senior Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend wake services on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 South Main Street, Cohasset, MA from 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Norwell Council on Aging at 293 Pine St, Norwell, MA.
