Brian R. Wilkin of Cohasset passed away peacefully on August 25, 2014 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Grace Bates Wilkin. Loving father of Mark Thomas Wilkin, and his wife Vania, of Hingham and Kristin Wilkin Rosano, and her husband Ross, of Cohasset. Also survived by his granddaughters Emily and Megan Rosano and Kalyna and Bilyana Wilkin. Brother to the late Joan Vandermolen. Brian was born in Cleveland Ohio. After honorably serving our country in the US Air Force, he settled in Cohasset. He retired in 2009 from Hingham Mutual Fire Ins. Co after 46 yrs. He was elected President of the Company in 1982 and served on the board of directors for 29 yrs. He dedicated time to many insurance industry boards and organizations. He was also on the Advisory Board for the Town of Cohasset, past president of Cohasset Golf Club, and past president of the Old Colony Model T Club. Brian was an avid golfer, a collector of antique Model T's, and passionate wine connoisseur.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the graveside burial at Cohasset Central Cemetery, Joy Place, Cohasset on Wednesday, Sept 3rd at 1:30pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm at The Second Congregational Church, Highland Ave, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's name to the Second Congregational Church.
