Brigid Eileen Kenny Gleason, 97, of Scituate, MA. passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  Brigid was born December 15, 1927 in Bennington, Vermont.

Brigid was predeceased by her loving husband Bob and her siblings - Sheila Dunleavy, Margaret Kenny, James Kenny, John Kenny, and Tony Kenny.  Brigid leaves behind daughter Brigid Keating and husband Bill of Colchester, CT; son Mike Gleason and wife Margie of Hull, MA; daughter Mary Harrigan and husband Tom of Flagler Beach FL; and son Bob Gleason and wife Deb of Duxbury, MA.  She is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She grew up in Old Bennington the daughter of Thomas and Celia Kenny who immigrated from Ireland.  Brigid had many fond memories of growing up in a large, loving family with six children and two devoted parents.  She shared many stories of her happy childhood with her family in great detail which have provided us with lasting memories.  Brigid graduated from Bennington High School and St. Joseph's Business School in Bennington.

Brigid moved to Boston with her friends where she met her best friend, Bob.  As newlyweds they lived in Bob's hometown of Brighton MA and then Brigid and Bob raised their four children in Holbrook, MA; Needham, MA and Manlius, NY before moving to Chatham, NJ.   After retirement, Brigid and Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their homes on Cape Cod and Scituate MA as well as winter months in Florida.

Brigid was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Nana whose love and affection for her family was her gift to us all.  She always loved hosting the family for holidays. Her warm, welcoming personality, sense of humor, and kindness touched all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Brigid's life on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 AM in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA.   A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset.  In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Brigid may be made to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
