Caroline Emma Cronk, better known as "Calle" to her friends and family, was a gift from God. After a courageous eight month battle with DIPG, Calle was called home to the Lord on the morning of July 18, 2013.  Though only six years old, Calle touched thousands of hearts around the world and united her community as she bravely fought DIPG, a rare but devastating pediatric brain cancer.

Calle literally danced through life.  She enjoyed singing, gymnastics, swimming, dressing up, drawing and painting, and riding her favorite pony, Sinatra.  She loved princesses, her American Girl dolls, her puppy "Fluffy", her faded pink blanket "Light B", and spending time with her family and many friends.  Calle's bright smile and sweetness were contagious and those who knew her felt blessed by her presence.

Her struggle, followed by 17,000 FaceBook users, inspired the creation of Hope For Caroline, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to funding research to cure DIPG.

Calle is survived by her loving parents, Rachael (Sowdon) and Kevin Cronk, her adoring brother Connor, age 7, grandparents Cam and Linda Cronk of Billings, MT and Tom and Kate Sowdon of Plymouth, MA, aunts and uncles Sharon (Sowdon) and Rob Ramos, Chris and Kerri Sowdon, Nikole (Cronk) and Jason Stastny, Shane and Kari Cronk, nine cousins, and many others who loved her dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11 am in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, 392 Hanover St. (Rt. 139), Hanover, MA. 02339. Visiting hours will be held in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, 392 Hanover St., Hanover, MA. 02339 on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 3-7 pm. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Rt. 53, Norwell.
