Carter Eliott Fortin, age 4, passed away far too soon, leaving a deep and lasting sorrow in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though his time here was brief, Carter’s life was filled with love, joy, and moments that will be cherished forever.
Carter was the beloved son of Ellie Bien-Aime Fortin and David Fortin, and a cherished brother to Keymora McMillan and Christian Bien-Aime. He had a gentle, playful spirit and brought comfort and happiness to those around him in the simplest, most meaningful ways.
He is lovingly remembered by his grandmothers, Yanick Jean-Baptiste and Odette Joseph, whose love surrounded him always. Carter was also blessed with devoted godparents—Brett Williams, Krista White, Emmanuelson Bernard, and Yves Tamar Benjamin—who held a special place in his life.
Carter leaves behind a large and loving extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts, including his aunts Malorie Thomas, Sarah Jean-Baptiste, Medjine Benjamin, and Marie-Ange Saintiné; and his uncles Jude Fortin, Israel Fortin, Dieumaitre Fortin, Marcdere George Saintiné, Yves Benjamin, and Angelo Benjamin.
Though his time on earth was short, Carter’s impact will be felt for a lifetime. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 9am at Our Lady of the Angels-392 Hanover Street, Hanover. Relatives and friends invited to attend. At the family’s request, please wear all white to honor Carter.
