Charles P. Buckley, age 65, of Cohasset, passed away at home surrounded by his devoted family on February 15, 2012. Charles was the beloved husband of 41 years to Barbara E. (Elliott) and the devoted father of Kate Townes and her husband, Rasheed of Worcester, and Jenn Buckley and her fiancé, Ryan Willis of South Boston. He was the brother of Maureen Inchauspe of CA, John Buckley of Weymouth, Kevin Buckley of Dorchester, Robert Buckley of South Boston, and the late William Buckley. Mr. Buckley was also the proud grandfather of Damian Townes.

A graduate of Northeastern Univ., with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1969, Mr. Buckley also received his M.B.A. from Northeastern. Having worked for Boston Gas for 24 years, Mr. Buckley also worked for 15 years at Transgas in Lowell. Charles was an avid sailor and was a member of Hull Yacht Club, where he was a past Commodore. He was also a member and past president of the Boston Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and an active member of St. Anthony's Parish in Cohasset.  He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours are Sunday, Feb. 19 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (directly across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Anthony's Church, 10 Summer St. Cohasset, MA 02025 or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (www.dana-farber.org).
