Charles D. Spinzola, 60, of Cohasset, MA passed away on August 15, 2024 after a short illness, at Mass General Hospital in Boston. His parents were Samuel J and Eunice (Clapp) Spinzola.  He was a self-employed landscaper for many years. He attended Cohasset High School.

At a young age Charlie and two of his brothers rode their go-carts and hand-made BMX bikes, the "Spinzy Specials", around town.  You could often see the three of them riding their bikes with their towels around their necks, heading to the water to swim.  You could also find Charlie playing baseball at "The Triangle" and also playing street hockey with the other harbor kids.  "Spinna" was known for having the hardest slapshot in Cohasset.

Charlie was a lifelong Boston sports fan.  He loved going to Fenway Park, and the Garden to catch a Red Sox or Bruins game.  He also loved to watch the New England Patriots.

But more than anything, he enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends.

Charlie is survived by his sisters:  Ann Beers, wife of the late Steven Beers, of Reno, NV; Sandra Spinzola, wife of the late Willie A  (Jay Jay) Johnson, of Fitchburg, MA; and LuAnne Sousa, wife of Lawrence W Sousa, of Scituate, MA.  His brothers:  Nicholas Spinzola of Scituate, MA and Peter Spinzola of Cohasset, MA.  He is pre-deceased by his late brother, John Spinzola.

He is also survived by the love of his life, Sara Sestito of Hull, MA, and Sara's daughters, Heather Anderson and husband Geoff, and Stephanie Litchfield and husband Jaime, and Sara's grandchildren.

He is also survived by his Aunt Nancy Spear and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, August 22 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St, Cohasset.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie's name can be made to the "liverfoundation.org".
