Christine M. (Abbadessa) Hudson, age 66, of Weymouth, passed away on December 11, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Born in East Weymouth, she then moved to Hingham at the age of six and attended Hingham School. Chrissie was an avid sports fan, especially football and baseball. She also loved to sing and dance, particularly with her mom and sister. Chrissie loved making people happy; their happiness was hers. She spent most of her life in the restaurant business, and later became owner of Abbadessa's Restaurant, which she had sponsor softball teams, most notably, the Abbadessa's Foxy Ladies and the men's team, Abbadessa's, which won the men's championship. With her husband, Hal, Chrissie also owned Christina's Herring Run Pub in East Weymouth, which she sold in 1997.
Chrissie was the beloved wife of the late Harold E. Hudson, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Victoria Mortland and her husband James of Hull, her brothers, Richard Abbadessa and wife, Virginia and Teddy Abbadessa and wife, Donna, both of Cohasset. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, Larry Forman and wife Laurie, Ricky Forman, Lieut. Rick Abbadessa, Rob Abbadessa and wife Nancy, Gina Brown, Christine "Dolly" Forman. She was the great aunt of Jason Brown, Alex Forman, Noah Forman, Deanna Brown, Alexandria Abbadessa, Sophie Abbadessa and Victoria Abbadessa. Chrissie also leaves her sisters in law from Maine, Maxine Baker, Judy Clough and husband Harold, Polly Baker, and all her nieces and nephews in Maine. Chrissie leaves all her wonderful friends whom she loved dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for her and Hal on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hour one hour prior to Mass at 9 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment private.
