Obituary

Christopher R. DePari of Pembroke formerly of Norwell, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday December 6, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family who simply adored him. He is survived by his fiancé, Hailey Malcolm of Pembroke; his loving and devoted mother Jan DePari of Middleboro; loving sisters Jeanne Dilley and brother in law David of Kingston, Kerri Stull of Norwell and his adoring nephews and nieces Kyle, Reanne, Sam, Caitlin, Jacob and Lindsay. Chris will always be remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and Marine brothers. He was predeceased by his father Gregory DePari, brother in law Robert Stull and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Chris was born in Dorchester, MA on July 24, 1985. Chris grew up in a wonderful neighborhood in Norwell and attended Norwell schools where he graduated from the Norwell High Class of 2003. Chris enlisted in the Marines shortly thereafter always wanting to follow in his father's footsteps and set his dreams on becoming a United States Marine. Chris graduated from Parris Island in July of 2005 and served with the Bravo Company 1st Battalion 25th Marines in Fallujah of 2006. Serving his country was his proudest and greatest honor and in October he was honored with receiving the Purple Heart Award.

Chris was an avid Boston sports fan, especially his precious Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed jet skiing, boating and anything to do with being on the water. He enjoyed loud big trucks, plowing,  drives by the ocean, days at the lake in N.H., and quite frankly the simple things life offered. Chris had a personality of his own and whatever he was thinking, it was said. Whether through a smirk or gesture, he was who he was and you couldn't tell him any different. He loved watching his nieces and nephews at their sporting events and took great pride in the young adults they were becoming. He treasured his precious dog Aspen and his adoring partner Hayley. His loyalty to his family was unmatched and although he didn't say it often he loved them all so. We will miss his presence dearly but his memory will remain with us always.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central Street (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center, MA on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 from 4-7 pm.
