Daniel (Danny) Patrolia, aged 55, a native of Cohasset, Mass, died on Jan 12th, 2024.  He was the beloved son of the late Ted and Mary Patrolia. He leaves a tremendous legacy of accomplishment, love, and joy.  He was born with Down Syndrome and had a love of sports, superheroes, music, travel, and especially of his family and friends.  He was able to communicate his joy of life and love of others despite struggles with hearing and speech.  His work ethic was outstanding, and he worked at Work, Inc, a sheltered workshop, where he completed many jobs, including preparing IV's for Veteran's Care.  His competitiveness and sportsmanship were alive in his participation in Special Olympics where he was coached by his sister, Mariclare.

He leaves behind his loving family, Nora and John Alfano, Rebecca Tabaczynski, the late Patti Desmond, Mark and Gayle Patrolia, Martin Patrolia, Mariclare and David Cheney, Kevin and Ellen Patrolia, and Timmy Patrolia, who are all heartbroken with his passing.  His nieces and nephews Rebecca, Sarah, Ted, Kristin, Dennis, Jenny, Meghan, Racheal, Greg, and Lisa loved him dearly. His circle of love extended to his great nieces and nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles, coworkers, friends, and teammates. His enormous personality won the hearts of countless people.  His many caregivers over the years also held Danny in their hearts, and the family is tremendously grateful.

We are diminished with his passing, but thankful for the gift of his life and the lessons he taught in kindness and joy.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 6-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, 2 Summer Street, Cohasset followed by interment in Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
