David Francis Mello

David Mello, of Plymouth, MA passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 73. 

He was the loving son of the late Frank "Ducky" Mello and the late Ellen (Murphy) Mello of Hingham. 

He was the beloved father of Matthew Mello and his wife, Nicole of Weymouth. David was the devoted brother of Diane Huxley and her husband, Bil of Braintree and Uncle of Karen Mason of Newton and Kristin Huxley of Braintree. He is also lovingly remembered by his longtime companion, Darlene Baker of Plymouth, whose presence brought him great comfort and companionship. 

David worked for many years for Graham Waste in Cohasset. Most recently he was employed by Market Basket and Southers Marsh Golf course. Golf was his passion . The many friendships he formed and the countless hours he spent on the course were a great source of joy and lasting happiness. 

David’s memory will be treasured by his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on March 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St.,Cohasset, Massachusetts. Burial will be private.
