Denis F. Duffey, age 65, of Norwell, formerly of Scituate, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 7, 2012. Denis was the loving husband of the late Elaine (Duggan) Duffey. He was the beloved brother of Daniel Edward Duffey and his wife, Sandra of Scituate, David M. Duffey of Hingham, Donna M. Harlow and husband, Phil of Carver, Delia E. Duffey of Scituate. Denis is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Denis was a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Class of 1968 and worked his whole career as a Merchant Marine. After his retirement, Denis enjoyed traveling with his wife Elaine. Denis always had a great love of the ocean.

Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denis' memory may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Baystate Dr., Braintree, MA. 02184 or to the Norwell VNA, 120 Longwater Cir, Norwell, MA. 02061.
