Dennis R. Baize, age 49, of Scituate, died unexpectedly on May 7, 2010 from a heart attack. Originally from Applegate Oregon, Dennis moved to Scituate in 1997. He was happily married 22 years to Susan (Gorman) Baize, and a proud and devoted father of son Sean Michael, age 19. Dennis leaves behind his parents, Robert and Dona (Brown) Baize, sisters Pam Baize of Applegate OR and Patty Cramer and husband Russ of Medford OR; brother Terry Baize of Reno NV, brothers-in-law Michael and Stephen Gorman, his best friend Sammie, and many nieces and nephews.

A 1982 graduate of the Oregon Institute of Technology, Dennis spent 12 years working as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager for the Boeing Company in Seattle WA before relocating to Scituate MA. He was employed for 9 years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Braintree as a Senior Project Manager. Dennis was passionate about animals, and devoted numerous hours to the Scituate Animal Shelter, updating software systems and helping streamline administrative responsibilities. Dennis loved his country and was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anthony's Parish in Cohasset.

Visiting hours at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. Cohasset on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.

Donations in honor of Dennis may be made to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 CJC Hwy, Scituate.

Service Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday May 12 at St. Anthony's Church, Cohasset.
