Diane B. (Prouty) Vines, age 80, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Beloved wife of Richard W. Vines and devoted mother of Richard F. Vines and wife Therese of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Geoff S. Vines of Chicago, Illinois. Adored grandmother of Yeshe, Eden, and Senna Vines all of Amsterdam. Sister of the late Wilfred C. Prouty and Jean E. Curtis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Diane was very active in the Scituate Historical Society and worked as a bookkeeper for many local construction companies.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10 – 11 am followed by an 11 am service in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Diane may be made to the Scituate Historical Society, PO Box 276, Scituate, MA. 02066 or to Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA. 02061.
