Donald "Skip" Abell Ronan passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside on December 30, 2023. Skip was born on April 22, 1949. He attended Scituate High School where he met Linda Lee Hollis. They married in 1968 and raised two daughters in Scituate. Skip graduated from Wentworth Institute in 1969 where he studied Aircraft Maintenance and Technology in addition to HVAC. He flew as a corporate pilot and worked as an aircraft mechanic for TWA for several years. In 1990 he started his own HVAC and plumbing company-Abell Mechanical which he operated for thirty years. Skip enjoyed competitive and social ballroom dancing with his wife of 55 years.

Skip was proceeded in death by his daughter Reverand Jennifer R. Durant. He is survived by his wife Linda (Hollis) and his younger daughter Stephanie Crews of Yadkin County, NC, four grandchildren: Jacquelyne Budd of Sayre, PA, Christopher Durant of Charlottesville, VA, Kathryn Durant of Cary, NC, and Daylen Crews of Yadkin County, NC.  Additionally, he leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Riley and Aubrey Jones of Sayre.

Arrangements are being made by McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home of Cohasset, MA.

A celebration of Life will be held in June.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends and family consider a donation to the ALS Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
