Donald L. Kahl, age 86, of Hingham, formerly of Scituate, passed away on June 5, 2016. Born in Wallingford, CT to Louis and Elsie (Hess) Kahl, he graduated from Univ. of Conn. and later served in the US Army Counter Intelligence Corp. during the Korean War. Don was employed as an accountant, CPA by Price Waterhouse and the Howard Johnson Company. An honorary member of Hatherly Country Club, Don enjoyed golf, tennis, and other activities, such as crabbing on the Cape, clamming in Duxbury, and fishing. Don was also a fan of dog racing, an occasional trip to a casino, as well as a stop at the American Legion in Cohasset. Don and his wife traveled frequently through Europe, Africa, South and Central America and the South Pacific.

Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ada (Ascari) and his son; David, wife Karen of Glenview, IL and their children, Matthew, Eric and Nina; his son, Christopher and wife Livia of Brookline, MA. and their children Sarah and Madeline. He is also survived by his sister Margery Munger of Rye, NH and nieces Virginia, Diana and Janet.
