Donna-Jean (DeeJay) Condon of Norwell, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026 after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. She was surrounded by compassionate care and love.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Maher, and her stepdaughter, Cheri Kelly; her eight grandchildren and great-grandson; her two stepsisters and stepmother; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; and her many nieces and nephews. She will also be deeply missed by her lifelong Goddess girlfriends, with whom she shared a treasured friendship.
DeeJay was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Condon Jr., her devoted husband, partner, best friend, and caregiver. They shared a life filled with love, companionship, and many adventures traveling. Their life together was a source of joy and tremendous blessing to her.
Throughout her life, DeeJay touched the lives of many people through her generosity, creativity, compassion, and willingness to help others. She worked as an interior designer for Sears, where she found a wonderful outlet for her natural eye for beauty and design. She later became a spiritual teacher, founding her company, DeeJay’s Inner Essentials, where she mentored and taught many people, sharing her wisdom and encouraging others along their own journeys.
Her life was lived with intention and was marked by a deep desire to serve others. She volunteered with hospice, offering comfort and support to those living with AIDS. She devoted time to raising German Shepherds to become service dogs, and she delivered Meals on Wheels for many years with the Norwell Senior Center.
DeeJay had a special gift for making people feel welcome. She loved entertaining and hosting parties in her beautiful backyard, bringing family and friends together to enjoy good company and create memories. She also found great joy in gardening, taking pride in cultivating the beauty around her home.
DeeJay will be remembered for her light and love, the many lives she touched through her work, her teaching, her volunteer service, and her ability to bring people together. Her legacy lives on in those she mentored, the people she helped, and the family and friends who will carry her memory forward.
